It is with some pride that the Swiss Recovery Center celebrates its three years!
This period has enabled both the activity of the center to develop, with a marked increase in the number of participants (currently 10 and a waiting list), as well as an activity rate rising from 30% to 60% and scientific research carried out at the center.
These three years saw the birth of a collaboration with the Swiss Paraplegic Association and the University of Lausanne. In addition, thanks to an agreement with the Clinique romande de réadaptation in Sion, medical and physiotherapy supervision is introduced upon request.
The year 2019 was characterized by political support from Mrs Ruiz and Mr. Nantermod, as well as the acceptance of a postulate on our methodology by the Federal and National Council. As a result, a major study on the effects of training at the Swiss Recovery Center, in collaboration with the University of Lausanne, is underway for 2021.
The applied methodology evolves continuously thanks to the experience gained during the training, the continuous training and the scientific literature regularly consulted. Recently, the Swiss Recovery Center occasionally offers its participants adapted physical activities off its premises such as ski trips.
We thank all those who have contributed to this exciting and promising adventure!
